What is it? A community Benefit Concert presented by the Tusculum Cumberland Presbyterian Church Music Ministry.
Where? TCPC Sanctuary, 477 McMurray Drive.
When? Saturday Evening, March 1, 7:00PM.
Childcare Provided? Yes.
Purpose? To kickstart fundraising to replace the 7,500 sq. ft. Community Activity Center’s main floor surface which, after three decades, has become unusable for various activities.
How is the community facility used? Some of the community groups who have/are using the facility will be introduced during the concert.
History of facility? Since moving to this location in 1986, the Tusculum Church Activity Center has provided space for several groups such as:
- Children and adult sports leagues
- Benefit Concerts including well know guest musicians, Christ Church Choir, Lake Providence Choir, Bethel University Choir, various soloists, and Christian and Gospel groups
- A 20 year run for a large production of “The Passion Play, His Promise Our Hope”
- 20+ years of feeding the community during an annual fish fry
- A supporting partner with Tusculum Elementary School and McMurray Middle School
- Multiple year drama productions produced by Valor Charter Schools
- Supporting a decades old affordable childcare alternative onsite
- Recently began providing weekday space for a local home school group
- And multiple TCPC productions open to the community and utilizing non-church cast members like God Spell, Cotton Patch Gospel, Checkmate, and Light Along the Cumberland
What additional community activities will be incorporated after completion?
- Return of community basketball leagues
- New volleyball league
- New pickleball league
- Activities for people of all abilities and ages
- Senior activities and walking track

What is the goal for this fundraiser? $45,000 (TCPC has already spent in excess of $100,000 in the past two years on this 47-year old facility).

How will my donation be used? Every penny will be used to repair and replace the current 7,500 sq. ft. main floor surface with a multifunctional, polished concrete surface with strategic markings for a full-size basketball court, two volleyball courts, and two pickleball courts.
